Career Opportunities for the Students of BAMS

BAMS is a professional degree for Ayurvedic students. After completing BAMS students can enhance their academic qualification by pursuing MS (Master of Surgery). They can also run their own clinic by being Ayurvedic physicians. They have to treat a patient by giving them Ayurvedic medicines or massages. The expected salary can be  Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum or more.

They can also work as  Ayurvedic doctors after some experience. The job of an Ayurvedic doctor is to prescribe natural remedies for the treatment of a disease. The expected salary can go up to 13 lakhs per annum.

A BAMS graduate can also advise others regarding their health issues. Such people generally work as medical officers in NGOs, hospitals and clinics and they can earn upto 5 lakhs per annum.

The job of an Ayurvedic researcher is also available to a BAMS graduate and the expected salary is 3.20 lakhs per annum.

Following BAMS , candidates will have the chance to serve in prestigious government agencies and hospitals. After graduating from BAMS, the Indian government permits the degree holders to open their Ayurvedic pharmacy or clinic.
